Rant Number Four

Bullshit nature survivor shows. It seems that every nature show you see on TV nowadays has one or two guys trying to convince the audience that they are always just on the verge of being killed, eaten, freezing to death or some other BS. It's like as an audience, they assume that we all seem to be so stupid that we can't possibly realize that the film crew, lights etc do not exist. And that at any second it could all be over. Sigh...and almost all of them now have a Aussie accent.

Well, first of all - I dissagree with you - people DO get lost and they DO help show you what to do.....granted most of them do have a camera crew, but they are ONLY there to capture the stuff (everyone has to make a living). Suvivorman actually has NO camera crew. Lighten up.....they are doing what they like and getting paid for it! I wish I could say that!

"an" Aussie accent...sorry couldn't resist.. and I enjoy these shows to a degree... I have always enjoyed learning about edible plants and how to kill rabits with a stick lol.. was kidding on that last bit.. Yes, the camera crew is there, but it seems like a last resort. We couldn't just let him go on TV with no backup plan could we? then the network would be called heartless if something did happen, even if he agreed to do it... And hey, at least people are getting some sort of nature intake.. better through entertainment, than not at all.
